Jennifer Lopez developed her love for singing and dancing in her youth as a result of spending so much time at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx, where she was a member of the renowned K company performing arts program. Now that she has grown up into a famous singer, actress and business woman, admired the world over, she is giving back. She is doing her bit for the Boys and Girls Club new Be Great campaign.
She was noticed on the 10th of June in New York Times Square unveiling a new billboard, promoting the BGC's new message. The billboard features a simple message: "Be Extraordinary," and shows a picture of a young Lopez with pinned-up pigtail braids from her days at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club.
The Boys & Girls Clubs have been encouraging America's youth to "be great" since 1860, but with this new campaign, they hope to further promote how youth advocacy programs can help children and teens achieve success beyond what they ever thought possible.
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have a double celebration in their new home for their sixth anniversary.
